Just two years after being featured on the inaugural issue of New York Magazine's Reasons to Love New York series, the magazine invited Michael back in 2007 to create the word love for a very special cover. Michael's design was recreated 90-feet long then placed on the Bryant Park ice skating rink and photographed from above.
New York Magazine has collaborated with Michael on a new line of apparel from New Era that features his love design. The series is only available in stores in Japan as well as online at New Era Japan.
Michael's love cover was featured in a double-page spread in New York Magazine's 2017 book celebrating the first 50 years of New York (pictured in the slideshow on this page.)
