The Glass House Summer Party

Michael has donated his painting, Summer Veil, in support of The Glass House, architect Philip Johnson's iconic masterpiece in New Canaan, CT. Johnson used the residence for 58 years, shared for 45 years with his long time companion David Whitney. The house is now a musuem and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

 

Inspired by Philip Johnson’s legendary 1967 Country HappeningThe Glass House Summer Party is a chic Saturday afternoon gathering for individuals across art, architecture, design, fashion, philanthropy, and more! Guests explore the iconic grounds while enjoying curated food and drink, live performance, and a silent auction of contemporary art and distinctive experiences. Proceeds support the preservation and programming of this Modernist landmark. 

 

Presented by Knoll, the 2026 Summer Party celebrates a shared legacy of modern design, innovation, and enduring craftsmanship.
