Throughout my career, I've worked in a range of sizes to express my ideas. From postcard-sized paintings on paper to billboard-sized creations on vinyl. Alternating between formats helps me to further develop my lexicon as well as discover new methods of execution. When I take a break from my large paintngs on canvas, I create small works on paper. I do this for days at a time before jumping back to the larger scale.
Presented here are some of these small paintings on paper, created 'in between' the larger ones.

My studio is lcoated just steps from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Over 5,000 years of human creation from all corners of the globe—a vast collection of over 1.5 million objects.
I'm incredibly fortunate to have this proximity and access to the museum. Needing a pause or a jolt of inspiration, I take a stroll down the block and let one of the world's finest museums wash over me. Sometimes I go with a desitnation in mind, but often I let myself wander and be drawn to the works that inspire me.
Frequently I visit the museum with my daughter, Carolina. We stand before the works reading about each one and learning together. She loves using the map to guide us on new directions every visit. Some of her favorite areas are the Greek and Roman wing, Egyptian art, and the Midievel section. The titles of my paintings in this online exhibition are inspired by what we see and enjoy at the museum.
